With a huge occupancy of 1,28,495 acres (520sq km) , Jim Corbett National Park provides a pride to the people of Uttarakhand and amusement to the visitors visiting it . The Jim Corbett National  Park is the part of largest tiger reserve present in Nainital district  . The National park was established in 1936 and was named as Hailey National Park , but in 1957 the named was changed to Jim Corbett National Park in the honor of a British  hunter and author ,  who later became a wildlife conservative . 

Jim Corbett National Park is divided into 8 ecotourism zones (Bijrani , Jhirna , Dhela , Dhikala , Durga Devi ,Sitabani , Garjiya , Pakhro safari zones ) that provide different safari option along with in rest houses that provide amazing wildlife camping experience .

SUMMER  :   evening  3:30pm to 6:30pm

TYPES OF SAFARIES OFFERED  IN JIM CORBEETT NATIONAL PARK 

1. JEEP SAFARI Timing of jeep safari varies from season to season ,  this allows max of 6 adults with 1 child (5-12)years of age .  For both Indian and Foreign tourists the fee are ₹7,500 and ₹16,000  respectively  ,  fee's for guide is to be paid on checkpoints ( gates )  of  respected zones  . 

2. CANTER SAFARI :  similar to jeep safari  timing's vary season to season , the canter has seating capacity of 16 person at a time . Fee for Indian and International tourists are ₹ 2,500 and ₹ 4,500 respectively

NOTE : whenever you visit the national park must book the safari , rest houses ,canter safari ticket online because in a day only 60 vehicles are allowed to enter in a singal  zone  and this is done on first come and first serve basis . 

3. ELEPHANT SAFARI :  The fees of elephant safari is ₹ 3,500 /elephant ( 4 person are allowed ) and for Foreigner it is ₹4,500/elephant ( 4 person are allowed ) . This safrai is offered in Dhikala , Bijrani and Corbett landscape zone .



 REMEMBER  THE THINGS BEFORE  ENTERING 

 .  Permit is very important for entering in the Corbett Park , without which entery is not allowed . 

 Please switch off lights , fans , taps before leaving the rest house . 

 Firearms  in the tiger reserve are strictly prohibited .

Shouting and teasing animals inside is not allowed , they can attack on you . 

Non vegetarian food is not allowed inside the national park . 

Do not get out of your concerned vehicle to take pictures of animals .

2. THE MAGICAL MUSSOORIE






Mussoorie , one of the best hill station ( tourists destination) of Dehradun  district , Uttarakhand  which is easily approachable by airways , railways and by cars located at 35km from Dehradun . 

By  Airways  :  There are two main airports in Dehradun  but Jolly Grant Airport  is the nearest airport to  Mussoorie  which is  just at a distance of 60 km  . 

 By Railways : Dehradun Railway station is located at 36km from Mussoorie , which serves as the nearest  one . 

By Car :  The best and most recommended  route from Delhi ( capital of India )  to Mussoorie is through Saharanpur  road which will take 6.5 hours to travel around 270km

Mussoorie as a hill station was founded in 1823 by "Captain Frederick Young" of East India Company along with F.J Shore , civil servant in same company . The name Mussoorie is derived from "shurb" called mansur  which is particularly found in the area . Even in the era of modernity and development  the place maintained it's colonial charm . 1. BHATTA FALLS : around 6km from Mussorie and 25km from Dehradun , the villagr known as Bhatta village is located . Bhatta fall is present in Bhatta amusement park that is approachable by cable car from  mall road  that cost around ₹150 but bhatta waterfall itself does not has any fee .  One of the best location in Mussorie to visit with friends and family , here you can enjoy various type of activities like zipline , gaint swing , trempoline , bungee , and many more . 
The places also offers different cafe's and hotels that serve Indian and local cuisines . 









2.LANDOUR : The place that is famous for it's scenic beauty along with the houses of famous writer RUSKIN BOND and Christian missionaries is at distance of 35km from Dehradun . Ruskin Bond along with his adopted family stayed here since 1980 . Landour is at height of 1000 feet from mussorie , here you can enjoy  infinite walking  along long pine trees, sunset , shopping at sister bazaar , and food at Landour bake house  . 
 On your way on landour you will find some  great infrastructure's like  Kellogg's memorial church ,  beautiful old style cafes , shops and cottages where you can also stay . 
















3. KEMPTY FALL :  The waterfall with natural swimming pool , glorifies the beauty of nature . This heavenly place is located 16km from Mussorie  and cable car facility is also provided to reach Kempty waterfall and one can go by his/her own vehicle . Being so much crowded , best time to visit the fall is early morning or late night .  






3.    THE NOBLE NAINITAL 










One of the district of Uttarakhand , which is famous among tourists for it's religious importance ,  panaromic view's of hill station , and adventures activities lies around 6,800 feet  above sea level . According to various Hindu scriptures , the places got it's name from "Goddess Parvati" . Here the word "NAINI" ( eyes ) and "TAL" ( lake ) , the Nani lake which is the central attraction now a day's was the place  where eye's of Goddess Parvati fell when Lord Shiva was carrying him after her self sacrifice . 


The discovery of Nainital as a hill station was done by  P. Barron,  a British sugar trader who decided to established  a European  settlement . 4. THE KINETIC KEDARNATH 







By Train : Kedarnath  provides a well connected road network from nearest railway station that is Rishikesh railway station which is 215km away from Kedarnath .

By Road : From national capital Delhi NH334 and NH7 provide good connectivity to Kedarnath  through cities like Haridwar, Rishikesh and Rudraprayag  . The troads can be dangerous because of their width especially in Monsoon season .

Being part of Char Dham pilgrimage ( Badrinath, Gangotri , Yamunotri ) . Kedarnath is one of the most visited  religious places in North India  . Even at height of 3,580m from sea level ,  the temple is standing majestically between the Garhwal Himalayan mountain ranges along river Mandakini . The positivity of the place with panoramic view makes you feel satisfied and complete . The Kedarnath temple was supposed to be built by Pandavas and later renovated by Adi Sharnkaracharya ji in 8th AD . Many Hindu festivals are celebrated in the temple but , Maha Shiv Ratri is  among the best and famous because of the decoration and the positivity of the place .

 

The flood incident of June 2013 shocked every India , the time when Ganga river was flowing  turbulently with it's full destructing power , but the statue of Lord Shiva which is present in between the river was sitting  majestically . Even the kedarnath temple was  saved a big rock that accidently came to behind it  and divided the  water splash into parts . 5. THE DILIGENT DEHRADUN





One of the most visited and famous districts of Uttarakhand is Dehradun , which provide a good connectivity with other parts of India through Roads , Railway's and also through Airways . Dehradun is located in altitude between 400-700m from sea level , due to which it offer's picturesque view of Himalayan mountain ranges , waterfall and lakes . Hindu mythology states that the place we call now a days as Dehradun was earlier known as (Drona Nagari ) city of Drona ,  where   Dronacharya the guru  of Pandavas and kauravas taught them about religion , weapon, horse riding . 

Britisher's on their way to set up control over India , fought against Gurkhas in Anglo-Nepalese War and defeated them (1814-1816)  .
