Rohtang la is at the distance of 36km from Manali and are located at a height of 13,000 feet in Pir Pangal mountain range . The place is approached by own vehicle and one can reach Rohtang pass from bus through Manali inter state bus terminal (ISBT) . Chail  , the piece of heaven  is just at 45 km from Solan a district in Himachal Pradesh .  The place is discovered by Maharaja of Patiala Bhupinder Singh . The Maharaja being banned from the summer capital of  British India (SHIMLA ) decided to built his own utopia , which he named as chail palace . The maharaja built a luxurious palace which is now converted into a heritage hotel . Chail is famous among visitors because of its cricket ground which is the world's highest stadium at height of 8,000 feet from the sea level  .  For the tourists coming to chail must add a lake called sadhupul lake to your journey, ,  the clear water along with fresh cold breeze can relax you along with this you can enjoy food by sitting on benches placed between the lake . 







5. BAROG (SOLAN )






At a distance of 60 km from Chandigarh and 8 km from Solan district of  Himachal Pradesh , the beautiful hill station called BAROG  is located .  The name of the town Barog is derived from the engineer Colonel Barog who played a crucial role in the construction of Kalka - Shimla railway . Colonel Barog was given a work to make a tunnel through a mountain but he failed to meet both the ends correctly and was charged a fine of ₹1 , frustrated  he committed suicide  .  After Barog's death responsibility of building the tunnel was assigned to chief engineer HS Harrington . Now a day's that   Kalka - Shimla railway is a UNESCO world heritage site and known popularly as Barog tunnel or  tunnel 33 . This railway route tunnel was built to connect the Punjab plains with the summer capital of British India  . 


6. SANGLA VALLEY (KINNAUR )







Kinnaur  , the district of Himachal Pradesh  where the captivating Sangla Valley is present , in which the  sound of vehicles get lost in the mountains .   The valley is at height of 9,000 feet from the sea level , the tall mountain covered with pine and devdar trees make the air quality of the place  much better then the most cleaned cities in the towns . 7. DHARAMSHALA (KANGRA)

                                       


Dharamshala  located in Kangar district of  Himachal Pradesh is famous for destination like Namgyal monastery , tea garden , st John in wilderness church , Dharamshala cricket stadium , dal lake , Gyuto monastery , Triund hill and Kangra fort . In 19th  century the British established the place , now days called Dharamshala because of it's cool environment and scenic view . The place gained International importance in 1959  when 14th  Dalai Lama TENZIN GYASTO ( Dalai means "Ocean" and Lama means "guru" ) and Tibetan refugees  came here when China occupied Tibet . The Mcleod Ganj which is just 5 km away from Dharamshala  becomes their  headquater  . 

With the arrival of Dalai Lama and refugees Dharamshala slowly transformed into the center of the Tibetan culture and Buddhism . They established various Monasteries , schools , temple's to promote and conserve their religion .
